Remember This for Windows — alpha

There's an early alpha for Windows, and it is free. It installs, asks its first question and shows your Life Book, but it can't read your photos or recordings yet. Read these before you decide.

Intel or AMD

Almost every Windows PC has one of these. If you are not sure, this is the one.

Download for Intel or AMD
Windows 10 or later, 64-bit · about 61 MB
ARM (Snapdragon)

PCs with an ARM processor, such as the Snapdragon X laptops. This build runs natively on them.

Download for ARM
Windows 10 or 11 on ARM · about 38 MB

Not sure which? Open Settings → System → About. Under System type, “x64-based processor” means Intel or AMD, and “ARM-based processor” means ARM.

Windows may warn you when you open it

The installer is signed by Augmented Mind AB, but the first time you open it Windows may still say “Windows protected your PC”. That is SmartScreen telling you it has not seen this installer often yet, not that anything is wrong with it. Choose More info → Run anyway if you are willing to.

You need Claude Code or Codex, and an AI subscription for it to do the work

Remember This uses an AI agent to do the work, Claude Code or Codex, on your own AI subscription: Claude (Anthropic) or ChatGPT (OpenAI, through Codex). The Windows alpha does not set the agent up for you yet. If you do not have a subscription, please do not buy one for this.

It does not read your photos or recordings yet

The Windows alpha does less than the Mac app: with no photos or recordings to read, the archive stays empty, and three screens (Source Data, AI Integrations and Transcribe) say they are not on Windows yet.

If something is wrong, the app can tell us

There is a Report a problem link at the top of the app. It carries the logs, which is what makes a report worth acting on. Prefer it to writing it down separately.

Everything it keeps is a file you can open

Everything it keeps is a plain file in a folder on your own PC, which you can open yourself. Nothing is locked in, and uninstalling leaves that folder alone.

Rather wait for a signed version?

A signed version is one Windows can trace back to us, which the beta is not. We can’t say when it will be ready. Leave your address and we’ll tell you when it is.

If a Mac is within reach

It needs macOS 14 or later. Everything lives in a Remember This folder on that Mac, so a Mac that isn't your daily machine still works.

There's a free iPhone app, and it won't help here: it has nothing of its own and shows nothing until your Mac asks its first question.

We’ll email you when it’s signed.

01We keep your address and that you asked about Windows. Nothing else, because nothing else is asked — but it does make you an account here.
02We email you a link, and following it is what starts anything. After that it’s the same list as our product updates, and the day there’s a signed Windows version you’ll be told.
03Your account page turns the updates off again, or deletes you outright, whenever you like.
