Terms of Service

Last updated 2 October 2026 · Augmented Mind AB

1. Who we are

Remember This is made by Augmented Mind AB (PB 13, 00561 Helsinki, Finland). These terms cover this website (https://rememberthis.ai), the Remember This apps, any account you make with us, and the optional Insider membership. We call all of that "the Service".

2. Accepting these terms

These terms apply when you use the Service. Before the app first uses a web browser as you, it shows you what that means and asks you to confirm; it links to these terms from there. Creating an account on this website or buying the Insider membership is also accepting them. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

3. What Remember This is

Remember This is a Mac app that keeps a biographer alongside you. It transcribes your voice memos, describes your photos, interviews you about your life, and writes your story and notes as it goes, so that your AI has the context to help you.

It runs on your own Mac and keeps everything as plain files in a folder you choose (by default Remember This in your home folder). Transcription and describing photos happen on your Mac. We do not host your archive.

To run it you need:

  • a Mac running macOS 14 or later;
  • for the AI features, Claude Code, running either on your own Claude subscription or on a model on your own computer where your Mac can run one. A Claude subscription is between you and Anthropic: you are responsible for it, for keeping to Anthropic's terms, and for whatever it costs you.

4. What it can reach on your computer

The Service works with your own access. With the permissions you give it in macOS, it reads your photo library, your voice memos and the folders you point it at, and uses your microphone when you record. Its AI works through Claude Code, which reads and writes files, runs commands on your Mac under your user account, and can drive a web browser, using any website you have signed that browser into as you. Some of this happens in the background, on a schedule, while you are not watching. It is told what to work on, but what it is able to reach is wider than that instruction, and you should understand it that way before you use it.

It reads things other people wrote — web pages, documents, messages. Any of those can contain instructions aimed at the software rather than at you, and the software may act on them. Nobody has solved that, and you should not rely on it being solved.

Your archive is also readable by any other AI tool you connect to it. What you connect, and what those tools then do, is up to you.

What you control is how far it reaches: which permissions you grant in your system settings (you can withdraw any of them at any time), which folders you point it at, and which websites, if any, you sign its browser into.

5. AI can make mistakes

A transcript can mishear, a photo description can be wrong, and the story it writes can get a name, a date or a whole event wrong. Read what it writes before you rely on it or share it. What the Service does on your computer and under your accounts is your responsibility, and you use it at your own risk.

6. Free app, optional Insider membership

The app is free, and it is not a trial: it keeps working for as long as you use it. The optional Insider membership is a one-time payment of €27, which supports Remember This's development and comes with the benefits listed on our pricing page. It is not a subscription: nothing renews and you are not charged again.

7. Paying

  • Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see your full card number.
  • The price is in euro. What you will pay is shown at checkout before you pay.
  • We do not sell AI usage. If we ever do, we will update these terms first.

8. Changing your mind

You have 14 days. Under EU consumer law you can withdraw from a purchase within 14 days of making it, without giving a reason. Tell us in a clear statement — an email to [email protected] saying so is enough — and we will refund you in full within 14 days, by the same payment method.

Beyond that, if Remember This does not do what this site says it does, write to us.

9. Using it properly

Use the Service lawfully, and only on material and accounts that are yours or that you are allowed to use. Do not try to break into our systems, disrupt them, or resell the Service.

If you do, we may suspend or close your account. If we do, we will tell you why, unless the law stops us.

10. What we do not promise

The Service is provided as it is, and it is in beta. We do not promise that it will run without interruption or error, or that it will find, transcribe or describe everything correctly, and we may change or withdraw features.

So far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for anything the AI writes that turns out to be wrong, for a decision you take on the strength of it, or for anything done through an account you signed the Service into. Keep your own backups of what matters to you.

Nothing here removes liability that cannot be removed by law, and nothing here limits your rights as a consumer.

11. Your data

Your photos, recordings, notes and everything Remember This makes from them stay on your own computer. Augmented Mind AB does not run a server that stores your archive and keeps no copy. What we do handle — your account and payment details, and the email we send you — is set out in our privacy policy.

12. Our name and our software

The software, and the Remember This name and logo, are ours. These terms give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service. Everything you put into it, and everything it writes from your material, stays yours.

13. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms, for instance when the product changes or the law does. The date at the top of this page always shows when they last changed.

If a change materially affects your rights, we will tell you before it takes effect. We will not treat carrying on using the Service as your agreement to a material change.

14. Law, and how to reach us

These terms are governed by Finnish law. That does not take away the protection of the law where you live, and you can bring a claim in your own country's courts.

If any part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. Write to us at [email protected].
